WHAT WE DO<\/h2>

Our Proposal<\/span><\/h3>

A M\u00ed No Me La Hacen<\/span> (AMNMLH) <\/span>is a Peruvian non-governmental organization for Media and Information Literacy (MIL). Founded in 2021, it teaches and promotes MIL with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n <\/section>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

WE OFFER<\/h2>

Media Literacy Education<\/span><\/h3>

Through workshops, online educational content and national and international events, AMNMLH's interdisciplinary team presents MIL from the perspectives of journalism, communication, natural and behavioral sciences.<\/span><\/p>

We seek to provide an educational response to the infodemic crisis with a \"bottom-up\" perspective, empowering citizens and providing them with tools that allow them to better understand how the media works. Although there are Peruvian initiatives that fight against disinformation, they tend to prioritize fact-checking, leaving the responsibility of separating truth from false to journalists or fact-checking institutions. In AMNMLH, we want to empower all citizens, so that they themselves can be their own verifiers, giving them autonomy and freedom.<\/span><\/p>

In recognition of our grassroots perspective, we have received awards from international and local institutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 2021, we received the UNESCO<\/span> Global Media and Information Literacy Awards<\/span><\/span>, in recognition of our work, together with organizations from France, the Philippines, the United States, Greece and Namibia.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
